All of these things come hand in hand with Valentine’s Day–and people wither love it or hate it. A lot of the time, these sentiments revolve around whether or not you might have a special someone in your life at the time. Sometimes, though, you just either love it–and want to kill it, burn it, and throw it in the river.
I’ve written characters who feel this passionately about the holiday. In On One Condition, Johanna is extremely in hate with the holiday. The hero, Damon? He’s one of those few that could care less about it. How do you feel about it? Is it all hype and no deliverance–or do you like all the hubbub and fuss?
Tell me how YOU feel about Valentine’s Day in a comment below to be entered for a chance to win a copy of all three of my Entangled novellas–On One Condition, Divinely Ruined, and Try Me. Don’t forget to fill out the Rafflecopter form as well! If you tweet about the blog hop, you get even more chances at winning!

Valentine’s Day has always just been another day for me. For the majority of our married life my husband and I have worked different shifts so we don’t usually spend Valentine’s Day together. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for stopping by, Susan!
It can be a specialday for some but I don’t really consider it a holiday. I think for a couple it’s all the little things that you do for each other throughout the year is special & you don’t need a special day for that. An example was my parents who were married for 60 years sadly they’re both gone now but when it came to my Mom my Dad spoiled her & she would buy him powertools that she new he wanted without it being a birthday; Christmas ; or their anniversary. ! So no I don’t think you need a “special” holiday to show someone you love them; it’s the little things you do for each other every day that matter ….
Very true, Ruth!
Valentine’s Day used to be a special day when I was younger. As I got older, it just seems to be another special day. You shouldn’t need one day a year to show the special people in your life that they are loved … it should be shown all year long!
True, Carol!
Valentines day will be just ok this year. I will have to work a 10 hour day and will probably not feeling like doing much this year.
I’ll be sitting on bleachers watching my teen play basketball. LOL
I love Valentine’s Day! A day to celebrate love, what could be bad about that?
True, Veronica!
Valentines Day will always be rememberd by me as the day my husband proposed to me 20 years ago.
Aw, that’s a great memory!
I like to put something special together, a dinner and a fun dessert for the kids. My husband usually surprises me with something…a sweet card. Nothing expensive. It’s a nice day to go out of our way.
That sounds perfect, Bethanne!
Valentine’s day is a day my husband and I get a babysitter and we get to go out on a “date”! We try throughout the year to have “dates” but with two young kids, it is not always easy.

I hear ya there, Susan! I’ve got four so it’s definitely tough!
I like Valentine’s day on the condition that I get chocolates. Or someone else gets chocolates and shares. Or gives them all to me.
Mm, chocolate!
I think Valentine’s Day is kind of an overdone, overly commercial bunch of hooey. But then I’m a cat lady so…
I have a kitten!
After 25 years with my husband, valentine’s day is just another day. We buy each other small things. We don’t need a special day to share how we feel for each other. We show our feelings in every day things … taking care of our kids, our home , and so on … thank you for sharing in the hop.

Nicely said, Kyla!
Hi Diane! Thank you for the great post and giveaway. I’ve loved Valentines since Kindergarten really. I remember those white bags filled with cards and candy that all my class mates made for each other. I loved making something extra special for everyone that involved candy each year which made me everyone’s favorite each year. lol
Now that I am married I pass on my affection for the holiday to everyone in the family, especially the hubby!
Talina
Aw, I remember those days, too, Talina!
I don’t know, Valentines day used to be kind of cool when I was a kid, it was the one time of year that my parents did anything really romantic together. Now it’s just another day and classes and work are more important.
I know how that feels, Lauren.
My husband has always had to work on Valentine’s Day. I used to cook romantic dinners complete with candles. My husband still works on Valentine’s Day. Due to my health, I can’t cook big meals any more,so my hubby takes me out to dinner when he gets home. We have been married for 37 years this year, and he still does little things to remind me he still loves me <3
Thank you for the giveaway!
Aw!
I don’t really do much for Valentine’s Day but I do love decorating for it and the candy! Thanks for the chance to win!
Decorating is fun!
I’m not big on Valentine’s day. I think it’s silly that people get all worked up over it when we should love each other everyday. Not that I am against the hubs bringing me to dinner or something like that, but I don’t find it necessary just because it’s Valentine’s Day.
I like something low key, too. A special dinner or something. That’s it!
Love Valentine’s Day and celebrating with family and friends. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for stopping by!
It is a time for me to think about all the little romantic gestures my husband makes and to appreciate him with an evening out or weekend away.
I really make an effort to do something fun and original that he will love. I know he does the same for me year after year.
Very sweet, Merritt!
I’ll be making dinner for the hubs. for V day. Other than that I’m not into the V-Day holiday!
I hope it’s a great dinner, Lisa! Sounds fun!
I’ve never been too excited about Valentine’s Day. My husband shows me his love everyday. In actions and words, I don’t need a holiday for that
Very true, Tamara!
I don’t love or hate Valentine’s Day. It’s just a day.

Very true, Sheri!
I don’t really care about it one way or the other. Its not like its our anniversary..now that is an important day.
Agreed, Froggy!
Thanks for the giveaway! Those books look great!

Thank you, Meghan!
I love Valentine’s Day!
It’s also my mom’s bday.
Double win!
Any excuse for a nice dinner out, and guilt-free chocolate! My husband and I are not super-mushy romantic, but we’ve been married a really long time, so we must be doing something right.
You must be! No many people can say that, for sure!
Valentines Day is just another day after 14 years together. I’m like that he surprises me thoughout the year instead!
Thanks for the chance to win

True, Larissa!
My Dad always made the day special for our family. Now, we try to do the same for my daughter. It’s a special day for family to us.
Sounds perfect to me, Jenny!
don’t really celebrate it
Even through I don’t have a Valentine, I like the holiday & find it romantic.
This holiday I cooked a chocolate cake for my single friends.
Thanks,
Adila (from Azerbaijan)
